Valley Creek Baptist Church is excited to announce the transition of its South Wilson campus into an autonomous local church, marking a significant milestone in its journey of growth and community impact.

• September 2017 – The vision to establish a second Valley Creek campus on the north end of Elizabethtown was introduced to the church, setting the stage for a new chapter in the church’s ministry.
• January 2019 – Valley Creek South Wilson officially opened its doors for worship, providing a new place of connection and spiritual growth for the community.
• January 2021 – Pastor Jonas Larkin began serving as Campus Pastor of South Wilson, providing leadership and guidance to the growing congregation.
• December 13, 2023 – The church voted to affirm the motion to begin the process of transitioning South Wilson into an autonomous local church.
• September 22, 2024 – The South Wilson campus announced its future name, Heartland City Church, reflecting its unique identity and mission to serve the heartland of Kentucky.

As Heartland City Church prepares to launch under its new name in January 2025, Valley Creek Baptist Church celebrates this significant step and remains supportive of its continued mission to share the Gospel and make disciples.
